Beware of "free trial" portable oxygen concentrators
Fast Facts: What buyers should know
- Industry definition: Many medical oxygen dealers consider a machine "new" if it has under 100 hours of prior use.
- "Free trials": A free-trial unit is typically a used machine, returned to inventory, and resold.
- Where it's hidden: Often disclosed only in fine print under Privacy Statements, Return Policy, or similar pages.
- Main Clinic Supply's policy: A real 30-day return policy. New means new.
What dealers mean by "new"
It is very important to know that the majority of medical oxygen dealers share an interpretation of a "new oxygen concentrator machine" as a machine that has less than 100 hours of previous use. This is an interpretation we strongly disagree with — and we believe buyers would feel the same way if they knew this definition.
Not only are customers who participate in a "free trial" most likely getting a used machine, but anyone who buys what they believe is a "new machine" could actually be buying one of these "new-used" machines.
They don't offer a "free trial" — just a used machine you're made to think is new.
We offer a real 30-day return policy. New means new. View our Warranty & Returns policy for details.
