Inogen oxygen concentrators are powered by rechargeable batteries that provide the necessary energy for the device to operate.
Inogen offers a range of battery options for their oxygen concentrators, including the standard 8-cell battery, a double 16-cell battery, and an external battery charger that can charge two 8-cell batteries at once.
The battery life varies depending on the model of the oxygen concentrator and the Inogen battery being used. Generally, standard batteries last 2-5 hours on a single charge.
Battery Life - Standard and Exended Life
Inogen batteries are specific to each machine. Each portable Inogen concentrator accommodates a single standard 8-cell battery or an extended-life double 16-cell battery.
The battery life of an Inogen One portable oxygen concentrator will depend on the specific model and the settings that it is used on.
The Inogen One portable oxygen concentrators are designed to be lightweight and portable for convenient use while on the go.
However, to achieve this lightweight design, some sacrifices may be made regarding battery life. For example, the Inogen One G4 machine weighs only 2.8 lbs, battery included. But the Inogen G4 battery has a life of only around 2.6 hrs.
Below are the battery times based on an oxygen flow setting of 2.

The battery life in all the Inogen portable oxygen concentrator (POC) is determined by several factors, including the oxygen flow rate.
The size and capacity of the battery will determine how long the POC can operate before needing to be recharged. For example, the Inogen G5 single battery lasts up to 5 hours. The Inogen One G5 double battery offers up to 13 hours, depending on the settings.
You can charge Inogen batteries in three ways: AC, DC, or an external charger.
External Battery Charger
Inogen offers external battery chargers for their POCs. External battery chargers will charge a single or double battery separately from the oxygen concentrator. An extra battery will give you more freedom to move around without being connected to a power outlet.
Inogen's external battery chargers come in three models: the Inogen One G3, the Inogen One G4, and the Inogen G5. External battery chargers are compact and lightweight, making them easy to carry.
It's important to note that Inogen's external battery chargers are designed specifically for use with their specific oxygen concentrator model.
