The Inogen Rove 4 Cannula Barb Kit includes everything you need to replace the cannula barb on your Rove 4 — plus a fresh integrated output filter and the spanner wrench needed to remove and install the barb. The cannula barb is the connector where your cannula attaches to the concentrator, and it can break if the machine is dropped.
The cannula barb is the small connector on your Rove 4 where your nasal cannula plugs in. Because it sticks out from the unit, it's prone to breaking if your machine drops — landing on the barb can snap or bend it. This kit lets you replace the barb yourself if that happens. The integrated output filter (also included) is the safety filter that prevents micro-particles from being inhaled, and should be replaced annually regardless.
Compatible only with the Inogen Rove 4 portable oxygen concentrator. Not interchangeable with the Rove 6, G4, G5, or other Inogen models.
- Replacement cannula barb — the connector for your nasal cannula
- Integrated output filter — annual replacement consumable, protects you from micro-particles
- Spanner wrench — the tool you need to remove and install the cannula barb
Cannula barb: Only when broken or damaged (from drops or other impact).
Integrated output filter: Once a year as part of standard maintenance, to keep protection against airborne micro-particles consistent. This is a safety filter that should always be in place.
How to install the kit
- Turn off and unplug your concentrator.
- Remove your cannula from the unit.
- Use the included spanner wrench to remove the existing (or broken) cannula barb.
- Install the new integrated output filter behind the cannula barb position.
- Install the new cannula barb, tightening with the spanner wrench until snug (do not over-tighten).
- Reattach your cannula, plug in, and resume normal use.
