The Drive Medical Oxymizer Pendant is an oxygen-conserving device that delivers more oxygen per breath than a standard cannula. The built-in reservoir stores oxygen between breaths and delivers a bolus when you inhale — letting you receive the same therapeutic oxygen with a 4:1 savings ratio compared to standard cannulas. Wear it under clothing for a more discreet look.
A standard cannula delivers oxygen continuously, including during exhalation when most of it is wasted. The Oxymizer's reservoir captures that oxygen and delivers it as a stored bolus at the start of each inhale — so a higher proportion reaches your lungs.
Practical impact: portable oxygen lasts longer; a patient with a high prescribed flow rate may receive equivalent therapy at a lower flow setting.
An Oxymizer delivers oxygen differently from a standard cannula. Do not change your concentrator's flow setting on your own. If your prescription is written for a standard cannula and you want to switch to an Oxymizer, talk with your prescribing physician about whether the flow rate should be adjusted to match.
